A Condominium in Ft. Lauderdale Suffers Storm Damage
The near hurricane force winds crashed debris, and then large volumes of water through the kitchen window on the second-floor condo. The winter home was vacant for the summer, so the water has several days to damage the cabinets, flooring, and the appliances. The downstairs neighbor, fortunately, was home and the drips onto his kitchen ceiling roused him to give us a call. Our SERVPRO technicians removed by demolition the water damaged elements and then set up equipment for the drying out service. Our air movers, dehumidifiers, including low grain devices, ridden the air of excess moisture and after verifying all was within standard deviations regarding the RH, relative humidity, we did a light spray using an antifungal/antimicrobial solution as a final sanitizing step. The new kitchen was constructed upon a dry base, assuring not secondary water damage would occur. Count on SERVPRO.
