Storm Damage – Plantation Condominium
Storm Damage struck this Plantation condominium structure when the garage and storage unit area was flooded by a powerful thunderstorm. SERVPRO of Ft. Lauderdale South was asked to assess the damage and present a plan of action for storm damage restoration. The plan would include using hand-held pumps, and sump pumps to suction out the standing water. The flooring in the garage and storage area was concrete so a lot of moisture had been absorbed that would need to be dried out. Commercial air movers and dehumidifiers would be used to aid in the drying process which would take several days. The moisture content of the flooring was monitored with the use of high tech moisture detection meters which would signal us when the drying had been thoroughly accomplished. This monitoring information is provided to the insurance adjuster for the location.
