Next, we tackle the floor. After most fires, soot is so thick on carpets that it is cheaper to replace them than to attempt cleaning. We quickly remove them and examine the surface underneath. Many of the odors disappear with the residues. Still, in some cases, they penetrate the surfaces of wall framing or the floors. To remove these, we can use special agents to deodorize the surfaces. If the odors are deeply penetrated, we use ozone generators to produce deodorizing particles that can penetrate as deeply as the odor particles and neutralize them.

Now come the walls. After we remove the damaged property and deodorize the interior of the home, it is a simple task for us to hang new drywall and then paint it or attach wood paneling so that it has as close to the same appearance as before the fire. If there is fire damage to main supports such as load-bearing walls, we leave that to whomever the homeowner hires.
